French Drain Installation

What is a french drain?

A french drain is an effective system used to drain away surface water and flooding. Essentially it is a perforated drain pipe in a trench surrounded by stones or gravel allowed excess surface or areas that are flooded to be dispersed.

These drains can be used for small areas just as a garden patio area where water may build up to be drained away. This can also be applied on a larger scale to drain bigger volumes of water away from such as commercial properties or agricultural. 

Channel Drain Installation

What is a channel drain?

You would find channel drains on patios, large paved area, roads and driveways. They are designed specifically for these areas to drain away excesses of water. Also known sometimes as linear drainage, ACO drains or trench drains.

Unlike most drains that are underground, these drains are more of a through shape and design covered by a grate. This is to prevent debris such and gravel, rubbish and leaves creating blockages and preventing smooth drainage of water.
